An Incredible “Chavala”

Paula Hilger (20) is a incredible friend we met during our tour in Germany in 2005. Two of our colleagues stayed at her house and her family hosted them very fondly. They also organized the farewell party to the entire troupe and friends at their place in Balingen. Great party!!!

This dear friend is traveling through Latin America from Chile to Canada visiting and staying with old friends, meeting new people and enjoying the beauty and cultures of our Latin continent. In Canada she’ll live for nine months for improving her English.

She enjoyed very much all the time she shared with us as we are “chavalos de a cachimba" (incredible kids). Also had the opportunity of knowing more about our theatre and circus project and life-style in our home-school and culture, and to enjoy our beautiful city and surrounding towns and nature.

She travelled with us for a weekend show at Sonzapote community in Zapatera Island. This island in the Cocibolca Lake or Lago de Nicaragua is famous for its pre-Columbian statues and antiquities.

Paula had the idea of visiting us only for a week but end staying two weeks more. To thanks our hospitality for her daughter Paula’s parents donated a us a new washing machine. This is an appreciated present as our very old one is not working properly any more.

Now this is risky couple on the Atlantic coast of Honduras to continue to El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico from where they will fly to Canada.
