A welcome support from Switzerland

Achim Lehnherr (29 years) is Swiss and has visited many countries (France, Austria, Holland, Hungary, Slovenia, Ukraine, Italy, Germany, Costa Rica and Nicaragua). In Switzerland did theater for 8 years, was radio broadcaster for 3 years, works in experimental photography, media manipulation and bicycles parking systems construction.

His first trip to Costa Rica was to Longo Mai Cooperative, a community of refugees from the war in El Salvador that was founded 30 years ago. Annually there is a Festival of the Arts where the School of Comedy and Mime is one of the founder organizations. In this community he knew us and decided to visit the project for one week in December 2006.

On his return to Switzerland took the decision to volunteer in our project for 4 years (7 months in Nicaragua and 5 in Switzerland each year) starting a new adventure in his life teaching what he knows to the school kids: languages (French and German), computer programs and electronics. Besides he will work in the building of our new school. He also wants to travel to north Nicaragua and have a better understanding of the culture and social situation of this side of the country.
